Our educational apostolate and evangelization efforts are fulfilled through our network of nine schools, comprising state Board, Matric and a
CBSE- affiliated schools, and a B.Ed. college. These institutions serve as vibrant centers for learning, faith formation, and community service.

Mary Immaculate Heart Matric Higher Secondary School is one of the prominent schools in Kariyandal, established in June 1977 with just 15 students. Rev. Sr. Mary Basilia CTC served as the Correspondent, while Rev. Sr. Georgia was the Mother General at that time. Rev. Sr. Venissia was the first Principal of the Primary School, and Rev. Sr. Melcy was the Principal of the Middle School.

Due to the dedication and hard work of the school management, the institution was upgraded to a middle school in 1993 and later to a high school in 1997, with Rev. Sr. Regina Stella serving as the Headmistress during that period. In the year 2000, the school was further promoted to a Higher Secondary School, with Rev. Sr. Santhi as the Headmistress. Mary Immaculate Heart Matric Hr. Sec. School celebrated its Silver Jubilee in May 2002.

The school continues to play a vital role in providing quality education in and around Kariyandal village. Currently, more than 1,000 students are receiving education here. Over the past 48 years, the institution has produced many professionals, including doctors, engineers, army officers, naval commanders, and bank managers. At present, the school has 43 teaching staff and 6 non-teaching staff, dedicated to shaping the future of its students.

The very existence of St. Antony’s Girls Hr. Sec. School in the remote village of Pavithram began in the year 1980 with a strength of 35 students in VI Std. Rev. Sr. Bency CTC was appointed as the first Headmistress of the school. Due to the commitment and dedicated service of the sisters, the school made steady progress and increased in strength. The persistent effort and meticulous service of the sisters elevated the school to a high school in 1981 and to a higher secondary school in 1995 during the tenure of Rev. Sr. Belinda as the Headmistress. During this period, Rev. Sr. Etna served as the Provincial Superior.

Today, St. Antony’s Girls Hr. Sec. School plays an important role in the lives of students by imparting value systems to over 600 students every year. It helps students develop their talents, form their character, establish personal identity, facilitate social interaction, and inculcate social responsibility. The school is supported by a dedicated team of 24 teaching staff and 4 non-teaching staff, ensuring quality education and smooth functioning. The school celebrated its Silver Jubilee in the year 2006.

St. Antony’s Matric School was founded in 1980 with 63 students, with Rev. Sr. Nichola Antony CTC appointed as the first Principal. Initially established under the leadership of Provincial Sr. Stanislaus (Region) and Principal Sr. Irose in 1981, the school continued to grow over the years. In 1997, it was upgraded to a primary school under Provincial Sr. Adlin and Principal Sr. Leema. Later, in 2011, it reached upper primary status with Provincial Sr. Mary Michael and Principal Sr. Syria Pushpam. The school achieved secondary status in 2013 under Provincial Sr. Anysia and Principal Sr. Suja Pratha. At present, 400 students are receiving education in this institution, supported by 18 teaching staff and 5 non-teaching staff, continuing its legacy of academic excellence.

To eradicate illiteracy in the region of Valangaiman, Carmel Nursery and Primary School was established in 1986 with only five children. Rev. Sr. Mary Anisia was the first Correspondent and Principal of the school. At that time, Rev. Sr. Phills Amma was the Regional Superior, and Rev. Sr. Etna Amma was the Provincial Superior. The untiring work and missionary spirit of the sisters contributed to the school’s growth and achievements. At present, the school has 124 students, seven teaching staff members, and one non-teaching staff member.

In 2002, the school was upgraded to a middle school, and in 2003, it became a high school under the leadership of Rev. Sr. Annie. At that time, Rev. Sr. Anusiya was the Provincial Superior. In 2012, the school was relocated to Pungencherry, with Rev. Sr. Premila serving as the Principal of the new school. Rev. Sr. Mary Michael was the Provincial Superior at that time.Currently, more than 500 students are receiving education from this institution, with 15 teaching staff and 4 non-teaching staff members.

Sacred Heart Matric School was established in 1987 with the aim of providing quality education to rural students. It began as a middle school with 56 students, under the leadership of Rev. Sr. Roselin Dhasan CTC as the first Principal and Rev. Sr. Phillys as the Regional Superior. In 1998, the school introduced the 6th grade, and in 2002, it was upgraded to a high school. Rev. Sr. Shanthi served as the Principal during this transition, while Rev. Sr. Mary Anusiya was the Provincial Superior. At present, the school provides education to more than 700 students, supported by 23 teaching staff and 10 non-teaching staff, continuing its mission of academic excellence.

Mount Carmel English High School began its journey in the year 2003 with 54 students, aiming to provide quality education to the underprivileged. The school received recognition for the primary section in the academic year 2004-2005. During this time, Rev. Sr. Leantin served as the Principal, and Rev. Sr. Anushiya Amma was the Provincial Superior. Rev. Sr. Leema Roseline was the first Superior.

Due to the untiring efforts of the management and staff, the school was upgraded to a middle school in the year 2010-2011 and later to a high school in 2013-2014 during the tenure of Rev. Sr. Jeba as the Principal.

At present, more than 500 students are studying in the school.

As an effort to care the Mentally challenged children of the locality, the Blossom special school was opened in 2003, with 3 students by Rev. Sr. Mary Anisia ctc, the provincial superior of Amala province. Rev. Sr. Pauline Xavier ctc was the first to take charge of the school. It has been providing special education to the mentally challenged children through the efforts of well trained staff, who are well qualified in special education. The school is providing behavior modification of the special children through the services such as physio-therapy, speech therapy, music therapy, yoga therapy and special education techniques. At present strength of the school is around 50.

Carmel International School [CBSE] is one of the upcoming prominent school in koonanpattarai village, Chengalpettu which is established in 16.07.2023 with the strength of 27 students. Started by Rev. Sr. Verony , the Provincial Superior of Vimala Province.Rev. Sr. Adlinda is the principal of the school. Carmel International School [CBSE] is playing an important role in giving quality education and extra-curricular activities in and around the village. At present 57 students are being educated up to grade III in this School. The School is in the process of it up gradation to std V in the coming Academic year

Annai Therasa College of Education for Women is situated in the remote village of Pavithram in Thiruvannamalai District. The college bloomed in the year 2005 as an institution offering a Bachelor's degree in Education, founded under the leadership of Rev. Sr. Anusiya, the Provincial Superior. Rev. Sr. Verony CTC was appointed as the first Principal of the college. The faculty members are highly qualified, committed, and dedicated to imparting quality education.

The mission of the college is to provide value-based education to all, especially to the marginalized. The institution serves as a center for social justice and a place to instill firm commitment, spirituality, moral values, skills, talents, and self-esteem in students. Every year, 100 teachers are formed in this institution, and our students consistently achieve distinctions and first-class results.
